Marsha P. Johnson's legend is larger than life. The "mayor of Christopher Street" was an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ rights. She was one of the prominent figures in the Stonewall uprising of 1969 and later on an AIDS activist in the late 80s. Between that time, Marsha lived unapologetically in the streets of Greenwich Village until her untimely death in 1992. Her 80th Birthday would have been this month.

We remember her life and honor the legacy she left behind every day.
