She also has extensive experience with high acuity populations such as treatment of individuals with severe trauma and addiction issues in medication assisted treatment programs, as well as acute inpatient psychiatric settings. Kaitlin works with children, adolescents, and adults within her private practice in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia. Kaitlin practices within a humanistic and psychodynamic framework which utilizes the exploration of the whole person from birth to the present by identifying patterns of behaviors and themes, as well as personal metaphors, symbols, and imagery. Through the exploration of internal processes and personal dynamics within the context of the therapeutic relationship and space, Kaitlin helps her patients to trace origins of issues to reach a place of awareness, understanding, and healing. Through art making, dream work, and verbal processing, the psyche is opened up in a safe and compassionate space that allows increased consciousness of unconscious desires and urges which creates the ability for insight and pathways for healing to be recognized.
