Shiatsu uses the activation points used for acupuncture along energy pathways or meridians that run through the body. These energy pathways are what each organ uses to carry energy from itself to the rest of the body. treating these pathways helps strengthen our organs and clear any blockages that are keeping our bodies from working efficiently. Thru diagnosis and treatment the body is capable of

making more room inside the body, so we function better in the world that surrounds us. Chinese medicine uses food and movement to strenghten the body's functions and improve nerve and immune function. Shiatsu, unlike massage, is appropriate for people living with cancer because it does not increase circulation in a way that tumors will spread thru the body. By being sensitive to a clients need, I can assess and treat appropriately for almost any injury, illness (long-term and/or debilitating) and dis-ease. Stress, depression, anxiety and mental illness can be affected positively with regular bodywork and diet change. Other modalities and Techniques I use are:
Myo-fascial release
Cranial Sacral Release
Shin-Tai
Zen Shiatsu
Spinal and Sacral Alignment
Neuro-muscular release, etc.
