In these turbulent times of uncertainty and change, our kids are vulnerable to stress and anxiety. Using a combination of mindfulness practices and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, this program offers children an effective approach to decrease anxiety while living in a changing world. Participants will learn how to identify signs of stress and the nature of anxious thoughts. They will learn strategies to calm the mind and body and cope with everyday stress.

The course will introduce children to the practice of mindfulness and cognitive-based strategies to:

Decrease the effects of stress,
Understand and diffuse anxiety,
Help with emotional regulation,
Improve communication skills,
Increase sense of wellness,
Reduce reactivity and
Improve ability to respond to life challenges.

This four-week in-person program will meet on four Sunday afternoons from October 23, to November 13, at the CHOP Roberts Center in Philadelphia.

*COVID-19 masking and vaccination guidelines apply.
