This event is free for all and children are welcome as well! We hope to see everyone tomorrow!

Longtime 11th Street physical therapist, Sarah Wenger, is set to finish up her time at our clinic next week. Please read her message to the community below, and be sure to stop by the fitness center on Thursday, May 30th to see her off.

Dear 11th Street Patients, Community, and Colleagues,

With mixed feeling I am leaving 11th Street after 17 years at the end of this month. While I am excited for new opportunities, I will miss all of you! I have enjoyed being part of our community and will take with me all I have learned from each of you. I don’t have words to express how meaningful the relationships and growth built here mean to me.

My new job will be Physical Therapy Services Director for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. In this role I am developing a new program that provides physical therapy services to city residents who are uninsured or otherwise have limited access to services through the city’s Ambulatory Health Services. Everything I learned providing physical therapy at 11th Street is what prepares me for this new role and I want to extend my wide spread gratitude to my patients, my co-workers, and the entire 11th Street Community. So many of you have contributed to who I am and how I envision my role as a physical therapist, thank you.

My last day will be May 30th but I will be back for the health fair on Saturday July 20th and hope to touch base with many of you there.

Queridos pacientes, comunidad y colegas de la Calle 11,

Con sentimientos encontrados, estoy dejando la Calle 11 después de 17 años a finales de este mes. Aunque estoy emocionada por nuevas oportunidades, los extrañaré a todos ustedes. He disfrutado siendo parte de nuestra comunidad y llevaré conmigo todo lo que he aprendido de cada uno de ustedes. No tengo palabras para expresar cuanto me importan y que son para mí las relaciones y el crecimiento construido aquí.

Mi nuevo trabajo será como Directora de Servicios de Fisioterapia para el Departamento de Salud Pública de Filadelfia. En este rol, estoy desarrollando un nuevo programa que proporciona servicios de fisioterapia a residentes de la ciudad que no tienen seguro médico o tienen acceso limitado a servicios a través de los Servicios de Salud Ambulatoria de la ciudad. Todo lo que aprendí proporcionando fisioterapia en la Calle 11 es lo que me prepara para este nuevo rol, y quiero extender mi amplia gratitud a mis pacientes, compañeros de trabajo y a toda la comunidad de la Calle 11. Muchos de ustedes han contribuido a lo que soy y a cómo visualizo mi papel como fisioterapeuta, gracias.

Mi último día será el 30 de mayo, pero regresaré para la feria de salud el sábado 20 de julio y espero ponerme en contacto con muchos de ustedes allí.

Did you know that we have FREE physical therapy on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM. No referral or appointment needed, just drop-in and we will help you get moving and feeling the way you want!
