I’ve been reflecting on the weightiness of the world, it’s not a recent sensation but a lingering one. Turning 40 and becoming a mom again has brought about profound shifts—a bit like unwrapping an extra gift, revealing new layers of myself. These moments, especially around birthdays and year-end, are like planting seeds for what’s to come, a practice of setting intentions for the future.
🌑🌙This year, the call to step away from the constant hustle and grind has become more insistent. Embracing calm, rest, ease, play, and joy feels crucial—a response to what my nervous system and immune system have been silently asking for.
✨In the realm of Chinese medicine, the kidneys are seen as the “root of life,” storing our essence and laying the foundation for growth. Overworking (which has always been my issue😅) has taken a toll on my kidney energy, amplified by the natural depletion post-birth. BUT it’s time for a shift.
❤️Looking ahead, the next few years are about intentional acts that support the shift I want to see . It’s about doing things that resonate with my nervous system, immune system, and intuition. It’s a return to the pure and sweet knowing we have as toddlers—a simplicity that’s been overshadowed by the complexities of adulthood. The goal is to rediscover what genuinely feels good, honoring the essence of who I am, and restoring my kidney jing. What seeds are you sowing for spring!
