Intern Spotlight💡
My name is Katherine Keelan, and I completed my DPD coursework and earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Texas Tech University🎓. I am now also pursuing my Master of Science in Nutrition through Texas Tech’s online graduate program while completing my dietetic internship with Aramark in the Dallas area.

My nutrition-related experience includes time at Texas Health Dallas and South Plains Rehabilitation Hospital🏥, where I gained a strong foundation in clinical nutrition and patient care. I also spent time at Doherty Nutrition🏦, a private practice in Dallas, where I learned more about outpatient counseling and the supportive systems that help patients thrive.

Beyond work, I co-founded and served in leadership roles with Miracle Pennies, a student-led organization that partnered with our local children’s hospital to raise funds and awareness for pediatric patients and their families👨‍👩‍👧‍👧.

Outside of academics and professional involvement, I enjoy reading novels📚 on my Kindle, practicing yoga🧘‍♀️, traveling🛫, and spending time with my dog, Daisy🐾!

Intern Spotlight💡
Hi! My name is Gina Mattera and I am very excited to be a Dietetic Intern through Aramark! I completed my DPD program at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition🎓. In December, I also completed my Master of Science in Nutrition at Metropolitan State University of Denver👩‍🎓.

I have a passion for many areas of nutrition, including gastrointestinal health, women's health, eating disorders, and sports nutrition. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a nutrition educator👩‍🏫 for low-income individuals, focusing on weight management, diabetes management, and healthy lifestyle implementation. In my master’s program, I conducted a research study🔬 on eating disorders, specifically examining women’s cross-country athletes‍🏃🏻‍♀️. I’m excited to make a positive impact in the field through my future work.

Outside of academics, I enjoy yoga🧘‍♀️, long-distance running🏃‍♀️, traveling🛅, and trying new foods and local restaurants!

Intern Spotlight💡
My name is Julie Jaworski, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Science in Nutrition after earning my Didactic Program in Dietetics at Lamar University and Bachelor of Business Administration🎓 from the University of North Texas.

My nutrition experience includes working as a Dietetic Technician at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where I supported clinical nutrition protocols, and volunteering with Brighter Bites and Farmshare Austin to promote access to healthy foods🥗🍎🥒. I also bring prior experience in business and technology through my roles which helped me develop strong leadership skills.

Outside of academics, I enjoy reading fiction novels📕, playing board games, and staying active outdoors🚴.

‘A Day in the Life’ of an Aramark Dietetic Intern
Delivering “Mommy Meals” - These discharge meals for mothers👩 and their families👪get delivered the day they are leaving, and dietetic intern, Marissa Sheets, said it's so exciting to see how appreciative they are of this. She’s gotten to follow along and deliver these meals🍽 quite a few times! They contain lasagna, breadsticks🥖, side salads🥗, vegetables, and crumble cookies🍪!

Delivering a Patient Tray - Since Marissa started in her foodservice rotation, she has wanted to assist the hosts with tray🍝 delivery. She said it's been so exciting hosting with the Aramark team at her assigned hospital🏥, and she loves interacting with the patients by helping in whatever ways she can!💯☺

My name is Breanna Ho. I completed my DPD program at Texas A&M University and earned my master’s degree🎓 in Business Administration at Texas Woman’s University. During my undergrad, I interned at a nonprofit organization🏪, where I created nutrition guides relating to various health conditions. I now help this nonprofit as an assistant👩🏻‍🏫 and mentor to undergrad students.
During graduate school, I completed my NDTR certification🎖 and got a job with a Children’s Hospital as a Diet Technician👩🏻‍💻.
In my free time I like to play with my dogs🐕🐾, draw/paint, and cook👩🏽‍🍳 for my family.

My name is Brooke Fernandez, and I am a graduate student in the Nutrition and Dietetics program at Texas Tech University🎓, where I am pursuing my Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics after earning my Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics at Texas Tech. I am expected to graduate👩‍🎓 in December 2025.
I am currently completing my dietetic internship at a local hospital🏥 in South Texas, where I am gaining hands-on experience in clinical👩‍⚕️, foodservice👩🏼‍🍳, and community nutrition👨‍👩‍👦. I also had the opportunity to work alongside a bariatric registered dietitian, where I helped create patient-centered handouts and individualized meal plans, which strengthened my passion for providing practical and supportive nutrition care.
In my free time, I enjoy working out🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️, cooking and baking, and hiking🥾. I am passionate about helping individuals make sustainable lifestyle changes and look forward to a career where I can combine creativity, education, and clinical knowledge to make a positive impact👩🏻‍🏫.

Intern Spotlight💡
My name is Alli Henry, and I obtained my DPD from Iowa State University (ISU). I graduated🎓👩‍🎓 from ISU in May of 2025 with my B.S. and M.S. in Diet and Exercise. During my time at ISU, I was an undergraduate and graduate research assistant for a community nutrition lab🔬. Our lab collaborated with ISU Extension and Outreach 4-H to develop and implement online nutrition education classes🏫 for youth across Iowa. I mentored students and aided in developing manuscripts that explored the acceptability of the online format of the classes and participants’ cooking👩‍🍳👨🏽‍🍳🥘 self-efficacy.
I also worked for ISU Extension and Outreach 4-H as the Healthy Living Programs Assistant where I was able to expand my experience with program development and implementation to all areas of wellness🧘‍♀️🏃‍♀️🚴, mental health, physical health, and nutrition🍒🍞🍗.
My hobbies include leading group fitness classes and spending time outdoors playing pickleball, 🏓hiking, 🥾or paddle boarding🛶with my fiancé💍.

Intern Spotlight💡
My name is Alexandria Chavez, and I am very excited to be an Aramark Dietetic Intern! I graduated 🎓👩‍🎓with my BS and MS in Nutrition and Dietetics from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
I worked in a few hospitals’🏥 food and nutrition departments in dozens of roles ranging from nutrient analysis, par stock, and room service. I was a student volunteer at 'We Don’t Waste', a non-profit saving food that would otherwise end up in landfills and host free food markets. For my graduate capstone project, I had the unique opportunity to conduct secondary data analysis🔬 utilizing the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) to investigate whether dietary fiber had an association with obesity risk particularly looking at minority adolescents.
In my free time, I enjoy staying active in nature with my fiancé and two dogs, farmer’s markets, and trying new local food spots. 🥐🍒🥑️🐶🦋

Alli Henry learned a lot at her hospital🏥 orientation! She met with her site liaison👩‍🏫 to go over specifics regarding her clinical rotation schedule🗓 as well as a general overview of policies📚 and expectations during the internship. Alli also met a couple of the other clinical dietitians👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️ and the entire foodservice👩🏼‍💼👨🏿‍💼👩🏻‍⚕️ team!
