Balance is a boutique style fitness studio located in the heart of Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, PA. Our focus is personal training, indoor cycling and small group fitness classes. We also specialize in sport specific training for team sports such as football, lacrosse, baseball, as well as squash, tennis, golf and triathlon/marathon training. We offer training for Pilates, Yoga, Barre, Boxing, and endurance training in Private and semi private sessions, as well as classes. We also offer Nutrition and Goal Coaching because We @ Balance believe in Balancing from the Inside Out (BIO). We believe that true health means you’re making the right choices for your body because you want to, not because you have to. We promote balance in all areas of life. It starts with a decision to change… the rest is the easy part! We believe in simplicity: local foods, whole ingredients and easy preparation. Don’t take our word for it… give it a try for yourself. Lisset’s Pilates classes are growing every day. Did you also know she is an experienced Yoga Instructor? Yoga Sculpt flows between poses to build strength, bolster balance, & enhance mobility. Props such as weights are used & no yoga experience is required.

5:00pm & 7:00pm are times we are looking to add classes in the Fall so give them a try!

Lisset Soza believes in movement for the mind and tailoring your practice to your body’s needs.

She studied Ballet Burn directly under Lori Williams and is Physique57 Barre certified.

Lisset received her Yoga Certification from Prana Das Yoga and has studied in person from Carling Harps and Patrick Beach. She has Yoga Alliance CEUs from Awakening Yoga & Jason Crandall Yoga Method.

She also has certifications in HIIT,
Barre, Yoga, Yin, Mobility & CPR.

Having danced her whole life,
she continues to dance & practice
partner acrobatics both locally
and while traveling. Her hobbies
include dance, acro yoga, hiking,
traveling and reading.

Tynisha Oates was born and raised in Philadelphia.

She started her fitness journey in 2015, lost over 45 lbs and managed to keep it off through fitness & nutrition.

She is passionate about helping people move with purpose and power and specializes in high-energy cardio workouts and effective strength training which are designed to transform both body and mindset. With a focus on endurance, mobility, and building lean muscle, she creates dynamic training sessions that challenge limits and deliver real results.

⭐️TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY ⭐️ “Susan’s classes are helping me age in reverse (B lean and strong and SGT are my favorites). I can’t believe how much stronger I’ve grown after only several months of going regularly. I have well-functioning glute muscles for the first time in my life and am doing things in middle age I couldn’t do when much younger.
Nearly five years ago, I had two back surgeries, and I didn’t think I’d ever do fitness classes again, especially with lifting. Since the surgery, I’ve been doing regular physical therapy and mat Pilates sessions to build core strength and rehabilitate. Recently in my Pilates session, I popped right up into teaser position, effortlessly, and my teacher was surprised and impressed. She wanted to know what I was doing differently, and I smiled knowing that it was the work with Susan that made it all click”.
