Our Spine Program team was honored to participate in the Curvy Girls Scoliosis Foundation's International Convention: Healing Minds and Spines. Curvy Girls is a global network of peer-led support groups for teen girls with scoliosis.

Dr. Jason Anari, one of our spine surgeons, joined families, experts, and advocates from around the world to share how CHOP is going beyond the X-rays—addressing not just the physical effects of idiopathic scoliosis but also the emotional and mental health challenges that often accompany it.

As the nation’s #1 pediatric orthopedic program, we were proud to help lead important conversations around body image, self-esteem, and the need for integrated mental health support alongside surgical care. It was an inspiring weekend of education, empowerment, and connection, and we’re grateful to be part of this global community working to heal both minds and spines.

The Joshua Kahan Fund Prom, presented by Bring Sunshine, brought the “Under the Sea” theme to life at both our Philadelphia and King of Prussia campuses. From dancing and dressing up to big smiles and a red carpet, it was a special day. We love any chance to celebrate our amazing patients!

Today we announced a new strategic affiliation with ChristianaCare to expand access to world-class pediatric care in Delaware and surrounding communities.
