Dr. Vernau was on hand during the USA Women's National Sled Hockey team Frontier Series that took place on April 10-12, in Ottawa, Ontario. This is a 3 game series against a very strong Canadian team, however the USA Women's team was able to win all three games! Go Team USA 🥇🌟🏒

Meet Trinity, 12, a competitive gymnast from Egg Harbor, NJ! ✨

Trinity came to our hospital where she was treated by her orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Apurva Shah, and his team for bilateral gymnast’s wrist. Though she missed an entire year of gymnastics – with two surgeries, months of casting, occupational therapy, and daily rehabilitation – she is now back on the mat, earning a Level 7 spot with the USA Gymnastics Development Program.

We can’t wait to see you soar to new heights, Trinity! 💙

Here are 3 exercises to help with ankle strength you can work on while watching the games.

Calf stretch: hold 30 seconds on each side, 5 times
Heel raises: 3 sets of 10 on each side
Single leg balance: hold 30 seconds on each side, 3 times
