Born at just 26-and-a-half weeks with her twin brother, Caliph Jr., London weighed 1 pound 11 ounces and faced overwhelming challenges from her first breath. While her brother fought courageously before gaining his wings, the team at St. Christopher’s cared for their family like their own and made sure London arrived safely in our NICU for the care she needed.

London faced chronic lung disease, a heart defect, and other serious issues. The odds were stacked against her, yet she kept fighting. Her family believes her brother gave her his strength from heaven.

Today, London is thriving. She is almost two years old, discharged from all specialty doctors, and living a healthy and happy life. Her family says St. Christopher’s is more than a hospital, it's a family that grows with every child who enters its doors.

👏 Statewide Recognition for Our PICU Team!

We’re proud to share that Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nursing Director Diana Colonna, BSN, RN, and the PICU team have earned an Honorable Mention in the Medication Safety category of the I Am Patient Safety Achievement Awards, presented by the Pennsylvania Patient Safety Authority.

This recognition highlights their innovative, engaging approach to strengthening medication safety— including a football‑themed gamification program that boosted accuracy, accountability, and teamwork across the unit.

Their work transformed essential safety protocols into a culture of shared responsibility—exactly the kind of forward‑thinking innovation that elevates patient care.

Congratulations to Diana and the entire PICU team for this well‑deserved honor and for their unwavering commitment to the children and families we serve. 💙

We’d like to take a moment to sincerely thank our healthcare staff who showed up to care for our patients during the winter snowstorm. 🩵❄️

Through snow, sleet, and ice, hospitals never close. Because of our staff, care continued. From clinical teams to support services, every role played a part in creating a safe, healing environment during challenging conditions.

We are also grateful to the first responders and essential workers across our community who worked tirelessly through the storm to keep everyone safe and connected.

To all who showed up when it mattered most, thank you for your dedication, compassion, and service.

Check out a few photos from our snowy weekend. 📸
