Mansfield Place Mansfield Place, a 60-bed skilled nursing unit within Broaddus Hospital, places equal emphasis on quality of life and quality of care for residents.

Our goal is to bring residents to their highest level of personal independence in a comfortable, dignified environment. We encourage family members to make advance visits to see the active, caring lifestyle their loved one will enjoy. Mansfield Place is certified by Medicare and Medicaid and also accepts insurance and private pay residents.

Our staff are making a real difference: One of our team members went above and beyond to support a grieving widow, creating a huggable pillow from a shirt that belonged to her late husband. The resident had expressed missing her husband. The resident was deeply moved by this gesture, expressing heartfelt thanks and tearful gratitude.

Residents enjoyed hosting a trick-or-treating event for Philippi Elementary School students. We appreciate the efforts of all who made this event possible, including bus drivers, teachers, staff volunteers, housekeeping, maintenance staff, the Activities Department, and the many others who supported this effort. The candy donations from staff added some extra sweetness - many thanks! We added the pumpkin stickers to some of the faces intentionally for privacy of the children.
