Yesterday we kicked off Nursing Home Week 2026 with Disney Day!

Happy Nurses' Day and start of Nurses' Week!

National Nurses' Week runs annually from May 6th, Nurses' Day, to the 12th, the birthday of Florence Nightingale. (Nightingale was the founder of modern nursing! She organized care for wounded soldiers and significantly reduced death rates by improving hygiene and living standards.)

This week is set aside to honor the millions of RNs, NPs, and all other nursing professionals. This year's theme “The Power of Nurses” is such a fitting tribute to all of the work and dedication that Nurses put forth every single day.

Nurses, you are the backbone of our healthcare system, and we thank you.

Today is Administrative Professionals Day & Week! Administrative Professionals Week (APW) is celebrated annually in April and this year it’s from April 19 to 25. This week is dedicated to recognizing and applauding the hard work of administrative personnel: receptionists, secretaries, administrative assistants, medical records, business office, among other administrative support professionals. Originally established as National Secretaries Day in 1952, to celebrate secretaries and their significant contributions to the workplace, after undergoing several changes, APW came to be. To all of our Administrative staff we thank you for all that you do! An integral part of what makes Pine Haven what it is. We appreciate you all.
