Axiom Community of Recovery

Axiom Community of Recovery Our mission is to transform the lives of individuals and families struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders in Arizona.

We do this by providing evidence-based peer recovery support services and more. At Axiom Community of Recovery, our mission is to transform the lives of individuals and families struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders in Maricopa County, Arizona. We achieve this by providing:

Evidence-based, peer recovery support services;
Advocacy;
Educational opportunities;
Sober

social activities; and
Affordable, safe recovery housing. We are passionate about empowering our recovery community members to know that recovery is possible and their stories have the power to create positive and long-lasting change for themselves and others. Our focus involves mobilizing individual and community resources to promote recovery, not specific to clinical services or model of care. We celebrate recovery by hosting various events in the community and publicly sharing the successes of individuals in recovery and recovery stakeholders in our community. We are working toward obtaining accreditation with the Council on Accreditation on Peer Recovery Support Services (CAPRSS) and our Association of Recovery Community Organizations membership through the national advocacy organization Faces and Voices of Recovery (FAVOR).

We would like to introduce you all to our colleague Josh Morrow. As a justice impacted individual who is in active recovery his "why" is close to home. Josh is constantly encouraged by the success of the clients he deals with. Today he is celebrating a recovery milestone with 3 years sober. Congratulations!!

Axiom Community of Recovery would like to introduce our colleague Edin Chacon. He has waded through the darkness of South LA gang life and incarceration. He now serves from a place of faith and service.

We understand that it's the people involved in the day-today that make the most impact in our organization, so we want to take some time to introduce you to some of them. Starting with William Mottern; Navy Corpsman (combat veteran), former correctional Sargeant, and current case manager.

Our employees are as diverse as the populations we serve, and we can't wait for you to get to know them. Their passion and commitment make them an asset to our organization and the community.

"On this anniversary, I have been checking with myself and how I feel about my sobriety. I’m very angry with alcohol. It robbed me of life experiences and memories I wish I could have been “present” for. Playing Red Rocks, opening for Mazzy Star, my wedding day, my baby's first words and steps. Those are just a few memories clouded by the darkness of alcohol, and I wish I could have them in the crystal clarity of a sober mind. I can’t redo these memories, but I can create new ones! This year, I hope to do just that. Thank you to my friends and family who have cheered me on. Thank you to my amazing husband and two children; you are my reason for being. Also, yay for me!!!" - Fox Rodemich
