Staying Alive; my son's stroke recovery journey

Staying Alive; my son's stroke recovery journey Improve & empower life after suffering a massive stroke/catastrophic injury resulting in disability My son was misdiagnosed in Baghdad, Iraq.

Mission #1:
My 25yr old son suffered a massive stroke on 7.3.2020 that turned his entire life upside down. I vowed to stay by his side to help him recover and to create his new "best life" until he no longer needs assistance. Mission #2:
To educate and initiate change regarding lack of American Hospitals and or Medical Equipment to treat our injured military when on deployment in 3rd world countries. Had they used updated equipment to diagnose his stroke, he may be walking today. The treatment facility in Baghdad is considered "no fault" due to being in a war zone and their treatment being for life saving measures only.

Week 2 of the VA cycling program, it was such a lovely morning for a ride around the lake. Suncyclery has been so great at matching bikes with riders and assisting with helmets and whatever else is needed.

Today is day one of therapy sessions with Stable Influence! We are excited to discover how this therapy can further Kaleb's balance & coordination!

Quoted on Stable Influence webpage: Equine Assisted Activities and Therapy is helpful in developing balance, coordination, and strength in riders with disabilities.  In addition, riding promotes independence and self-confidence as riders learn to ride and care for their horses in a friendly and supportive environment.  Finally, Equine Assisted Activities and Therapy provides recreational opportunities to many individuals for whom such opportunities are severely limited.

The last two days of our European Vacation. Positano, Sorrento, Amalfi Coast & Pompeii, Italy. Accessibility was attempted in all areas, enabling an enjoyable vacation for both of us. There were challenges with the limited accessibility, but we made it work! "Traveling is a dream come true, even better when it's with you"!
