I started On Point Mobile because I wanted to provide everyone with physical therapy they could do on their time.

Many new clients tell me that they pushed off going to physical therapy because it didn't fit into their schedule. Or because they believed it would only temporarily alleviate their problems. I'm passionate about working closely with my clients to ensure that we target the areas that are troubling them the most in each session. I also equip them with tactics that will help their progress in-between sessions for maximum success.

Do you constantly wake up with shoulder or back pain? 😓

People always ask me what position they should sleep in. While it's always going to vary a little bit from person to person, one consistent thing is that we should be trying to replicate good postural alignment laying down just like we do when we are standing or sitting. But unfortunately, most people make the mistake of using too many pillows so that when they lay down, their neck is either bent forward or bent sideways.

I also run into people who have shoulder pain sleeping with pillows behind their shoulders, forcing the shoulder to round forward and stay in that position all night. By limiting the number of pillows you sleep on and making sure that your ears are in alignment with your shoulders and your head is central to the chest, you might be able to alleviate some of that pain.

While chronic pain may be a part of your every day, it’s not a normal state of being. Physical therapy can help target areas causing you problems and improve them, relieving you of pain with consistent treatment. No matter how minor you consider your pain, you should still consider undergoing physical therapy.

I always tell my patients that they should be stretching every day. Stretching for even 5-10 minutes a day can make a massive difference for your body. It helps keep your muscles strong, flexible, and healthy. So, whether you need to get up from your desk to stretch or do it after work to end your day, find a way to make daily stretching a part of your routine.

If you've been experiencing chronic pain, or even minor aches and pains, setting aside other plans to visit a physical therapist to work on your wellbeing and recovery should be the priority. I've worked with many patients who put off physical therapy for countless reasons and wish they had scheduled their sessions sooner. Don't let that be you.

While there are a few different techniques, the goal is the same - to help relieve muscular pain and stiffness. Dry needling may also improve flexibility and range of motion. You’ll be able to map out a precise treatment plan with your physical therapist, including what results you might be able to expect.

Did you know that muscle strains and sprains are common in the lower back?

It supports the upper body's weight and accommodates to forces from the lower body all day! It is constantly involved in various daily movements, and your lower back will probably need some special attention at some point in time. That means either doing safe, at-home stretches or scheduling an appointment with me for a more targeted approach, although both options are recommended!

I've been working as a physical therapist for the last 15 years, helping clients manage various movement or pain issues. I make it a point to understand your goals at the beginning of each session to ensure that we simultaneously target any pain points you're dealing with at that moment and build a rapport together.
