Colossians reminds us that when we walk with Christ, our focus begins to change. Our hearts begin to shift. Our priorities begin to align with the things of God rather than the distractions of this world.

Setting our affection on things above means choosing daily to walk in faith, in discipline, and in obedience to His Word.

It means letting go of old patterns that no longer serve our growth in Christ and allowing the Lord to continue renewing our minds and hearts.

This is part of the transformation that happens when we stay rooted in Scripture and committed to prayer each day.

Colossians reminds us that through Jesus Christ, we are no longer bound by our past. The Lord has forgiven our trespasses, restored us through faith, and given us new life in Him.

What was once held against us has been taken away by the victory of the cross ✝️

Because of Christ:

we are forgiven

we are made alive

we are free

This is the power of walking in Him and remaining rooted in His Word each day.

Scripture reminds us not to be carried away by the distractions, philosophies, and pressures of this world, but instead to remain rooted in Christ — the One in whom all fullness dwells.

✨ Continuing in Colossians today 🤍

Yesterday we reflected on Christ as Creator of all things. Today we are reminded that He is also the One who holds all things together.

He is before all things.
He is the head of the body, the church.
And through Him, we are reconciled to God.

There is nothing in our lives outside of His authority, His covering, or His peace. Even in seasons we don’t fully understand, Christ is still holding all things together according to His perfect will.

What a gift it is to know that reconciliation, restoration, and peace with God come through Jesus Christ alone ✝️

Take a moment today to rest in that truth.

Although her official birthday was on Tuesday, September 24th, we finally had the chance to enjoy some special 1:1 time. She treated me to her precious company and spoiled me with a beautiful gift: stunning dangle pearl earrings! (We LOVE pearls! 💖) And to top it all off, my favorite Chinese dish - Orange Beef! 🍊🥢
