I recently gave a speech titled “A Dream That Will Never Fade”. Would you like to listen to the whole thing? 🤗

Please pardon my inconsistency in posting the last few weeks and upcoming next few weeks. Life has been amazingly full. 🧘🏾‍♀️🙏🏿
I have been doing more talks, speeches, podcast features and also guest lecturing at a local college. I am very much enjoying the more in person scene but it requires time to prepare for them.

I am also co-authoring a book with my mentor and colleague and the writing process has began. It’s been an inspiring embarkment and a fulfillment of a lifelong goal but also requires time and focus. ✍🏿

In addition, I am transitioning into a new practice and continuing to see patients virtually (though very limited availability).

As soon as life smoothes out a bit, I will be back to posting informative and helpful content but I also want to make sure it’s not boring for y’all so let know in the comments what questions you have or what topics you would me to cover. 💃🏿😜

I respond to DMs as much as I can so please feel free to send me a message as well. 😉

Please be kind to yourselves and each other this holiday season and remember that no one can make you feel small without your permission. 💯

Live Big, Love Big, and Dream Big!

Create and Enjoy a Wonderful Weekend. 🙏🏿❤️

I hope that all your dreams and heart’s desires come true.
But most importantly, I hope that you allow yourself to experience joy on your way to those manifestations.
The kind of unconditional joy that comes from being in love with yourself!

Have a lovely Sunday! ❤️

These 3 plants in addition to ginger root and cinnamon makes a potent drink that helps with a variety of immune system related illnesses such as common cold, flu, sinus issues, chronic infections etc
It also benefits autoimmune diseases because this combination helps to balance the immune system and autoimmune diseases occur when the immune system is out of balance.

The African basil plant or scent leaf as it is known in many west African cultures is anti inflammatory and also mucolytic, which means it will break up mucus or phlegm. Mucus clogs up the cells and prevents proper functioning and healing from happening. Because of its aromatic nature, it is very alkaline and healing naturally happens in an alkaline state.

The lemon grass plant is antipyretic which means it helps breaks fever. it is rich in flavonoids and phenolic compounds making it a great addition to any immune support tea. It is high in vitamin C and other nutrients that are needed in the proper functioning of immune cells. It is also very aromatic.

Tamarind is such a powerful and nutritive plant. The leafs are rich in compounds that benefits the liver and entire gastrointestinal system. We know that the gut houses most of our immune cells so any immune boosting blend should have herbs that benefits the gut.

You can drink this regularly to prevent getting sick or when you are actually sick.
It is safe for children.

Feel free to add honey, but only if it is real honey and not the lab made crap that is sold as honey.

Have you ever had Moringa flowers tea?
They contain constituents that play a significant role in balancing the immune system and may offer benefits for those with autoimmune diseases. Here’s how they contribute:

1. Rich Nutrient Profile: Moringa flowers are packed with vitamins, especially vitamin C and antioxidants, which support immune function and help reduce inflammation.

2. Anti-Inflammatory Properties: The flowers contain compounds that can lower inflammation, which is often elevated in autoimmune conditions. Reducing inflammation can help alleviate symptoms and improve overall well-being.

3. Regulation of Immune Response: Moringa flowers may help modulate the immune system, promoting a balanced response. This is particularly important in autoimmune diseases, where the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy cells.

4. Antioxidant Defense: The antioxidants in Moringa flowers combat oxidative stress, which is linked to chronic inflammation and autoimmune disorders. By reducing oxidative damage, these flowers can help protect tissues and promote healing.

5. Gut Health: A healthy gut microbiome is crucial for immune regulation. Moringa flowers can aid digestion and promote gut health, which is closely tied to immune function.

6. Support for Hormonal Balance: Some studies suggest that Moringa may help regulate hormones, further contributing to immune system balance, especially in women.

Incorporating Moringa flowers into the diet, through teas may provide supportive benefits for immune health and could be a valuable addition for those managing autoimmune diseases.

Let your food be your medicine!

Most people often overlook the nutritional profile of the cassava root itself and also of gari. Because gari is made from fermented cassava, it offers a lot of additional health benefits.

Primarily, it is rich in complex carbohydrates, providing a significant source of energy, which is particularly valuable for individuals engaged in physical labor.

Moreover, gari is gluten-free, making it an excellent alternative for those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease.

In addition to carbohydrates, gari contains dietary fiber, which aids in digestion and promotes a healthy gut.

Because it is fermented the fiber helps in managing weight by promoting a feeling of fullness.

Cassava is also a good source of essential vitamins and minerals.

Because it is so versatile and nutrient dense, it can be used in various dishes, from porridge to side dishes, or swallow dish allowing for flexibility in the diet. Its versatility encourages balanced nutrition.

It has a long shelf life and when stored properly can last up to a year.

What has been your favorite way to consume gari? Mine is gari soakings with peanuts. Yum!

Visited the Kwame Nkruma Mausoleum with my dear friend Eugenia and felt inspired all over again!!

Last week, was Nkruma’s birthday and is celebrated as a national holiday here in Ghana.
Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkruma was Ghana’s first president and led us to independence from the British rule in 1957.

His vision extended beyond a better Ghana but the liberation and unification of the entire continent of Africa. He did so much for our country than most of our leaders have done with 2 terms in office. He was way beyond his time !!! His vision for a united and progressive Africa continues to inspire generations.
He dedicated himself to his people and sacrificed his life for us. A true leader and king!
All it took was one person to change the course of our history and I pray we find a leader with 10% of what Nkruma had.

Ghana is a blessed country in many ways and our leaders need to start acting like the blood of our forefathers and foremothers who fought for our independence means something!!

“Ghana, Our Beloved Country is Free Forever”!!!! These words………….

Slide 4 is my favorite Nkruma quote. What is yours?
