Binge Eating? Compulsive Eating? Remember: You aren’t weak or lacking motivation. Eating is an essential protective strategy to restore a sense of safety and equilibrium.

The RDs at On the Brink Nutrition are here to help you:
*feel truly and compassionately seen
*evaluate your situation thoroughly and from a holistic standpoint
*access an emotional and developmental context for understanding your experience with eating
*increase self-compassion and decrease shame (and reactivity).
*develop creative, attuned, and effective interventions
*slow down and get curious about medical, behavioral, developmental, relational, and familial factors.

Diet culture has no place in eating disorder recovery. Fat phobia cannot be part of the journey. Instead, we are called to embrace eating as a means of full and complete nourishment. It’s essential to become allies with our bodies, respecting them at every stage, weight, and shape.

At On the Brink Nutrition, we are here to support you. You may feel like a stranger among friends, family, and peers because you are no longer abiding by the rules of diet culture and society’s definition of “healthy eating” and a “healthy body”.

Addressing weight stigma requires rethinking societal values around weight and privilege. Let’s create a more inclusive world together.

Head to the link in bio to download The Sizeism Survey (a resource created by ). This is a powerful tool for fostering self-reflection and awareness about the pervasive nature of size-based discrimination in our society. It encourages participants to explore their personal experiences with size-based discrimination—whether as victims, witnesses, or beneficiaries of size privilege—while also considering how anti-fat bias intersects with other forms of bias, such as race, gender, and ability.

By reflecting on both micro-level interactions and broader societal influences, the survey helps illuminate the often-unseen impact of sizeism on self-care, body image, and well-being.

Take time to complete this survey as a means of empowering yourself to take action toward creating a more inclusive and compassionate world.

We’re often talking about meal and snack ideas with clients who struggle to eat enough during the day due to the demands of work, school, and life in general.

Remember, there’s no universal meal plan that everyone follows. It’s important to eat regularly throughout the day (roughly every three hours), include foods you enjoy, and use recipes you feel confident in preparing. Because we care about making the eating process as easy as possible, we’ve compiled a list of ideas and recipes shared by our current clients.

Head to the link in the bio to sign up for our newsletter and get our updated, late-summer-inspired meal plan including ideas for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.

On the Brink Nutrition Collective is a team of Registered Dietitian Nutritionists. We are guides on the journey toward liberation from restriction, fad diets, and overly-complicated eating plans. We help our clients heal their relationship with food by working through the biology and physiology of nutrition as well as the social structures that affect how and what we eat. We offer an actionable experience that builds skills, provides resources, and gives people a safe place to learn, grow, and heal. Using a weight-inclusive approach, we help people who suffer from diagnosed eating disorders, disordered eating patterns, body image issues, and chronic illness all find nourishment and agency by building respect and trust in their bodies.
