I’m reading Love 2.0 by Barbara Fredrickson, PhD, in which she shares the lyrics of Louis Armstrong’s “What A Wonderful World.”
-
“I see friends shaking hands
saying “how do you do?”
they’re really saying, “I love you.”
-
It causes me to reflect on my relationships, and reminds me that we just need to slow down long enough to see how much love surrounds us.

Esther and I are watching Dr. Ira Byock’s video Live Well, Die Well on YouTube.
-
He shares a quote he heard, author unknown, that life is a sexually transmitted condition with a terminal diagnosis.
-
It’s this perspective that opens the door for communication surrounding the act of dying.
-
Upon this recording, he states that a poll was taken, and 70-90% of Americans when asked, said they would want to die at home surrounded by their loved ones.
-
Statistically, during that time, about 70% of people actually died in a hospital or institution.
-
Senior colleagues, let’s work together in 2022 to begin sensitive conversations about end of life care with our loved ones, patients, clients and residents.

Each day brings new joy, even in difficult times. Sometimes you just need to look a little harder.

As part of my morning read, I came across this post from LinkedIn, and couldn’t agree more!
-
As a consultant I often hear, “we’ve always done it that way,” as an answer to how tasks are completed.
-
It doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the most efficient or result driven way, but simply how the initial protocols were written.
-
With over 20 years experience in the healthcare industry I have been successful in identifying time saving, cost effective solutions for practices.
-
The willingness to “unlearn” has proven to keep practices relevant and resilient throughout the ever-changing medical field.

My favorite thing about fall is bringing out the sweaters and boots!
-
My favorite thing about meeting new clients is that “aha” moment when we identify their niche!
-
Having a consultant brings style, and a fresh perspective to your marketing efforts.

Today I joined my mom at her Younglivingessentialoils event Wags & Whiffs.
-
She advertised her event using social media, and set up her booth at the entrance of a dog park.
-
I listened as she explained what her products can do for the owner’s pets, but also why the oils she promotes are different than ones you would purchase elsewhere.
-
I’m proud to say that my mom had a clearly defined sales message.
-
She flawlessly executed the basic sale’s principle:
-
Why you do what you do better than anyone else.
-
When you can answer this question, you are ready to successfully promote your business.
