Join us Saturday, May 16th at 11:30 AM for an in-depth Asana Lab: Active Hip Openers—designed to expand both your knowledge and experience of these powerful, strength-building poses.

In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore how active hip openers go beyond flexibility, requiring strength, control, and stability to safely access deeper ranges of motion.

We’ll break down key postures like Malasana (squat), low lunge variations, half splits, full splits, pigeon, and reclined hero—helping you better understand alignment, benefits, and what to watch for in your own body.

Led by our 200-hour trainer Sarah, alongside our teacher trainees, this session creates a supportive, hands-on space to ask questions, refine your technique, and grow more confident in your practice. ✨💫

What am I receiving from nature—and how can I give back? 🌿

This month, I invite you to take one tech-free walk outdoors each week—a simple chance to unplug from screens and reconnect with the natural world around you.

Use this time to:
✨Notice your surroundings
✨Breathe deeply
✨Observe without distraction

April has a way of bringing us back together—with the Earth, with each other, and with ourselves 🌿

With Earth Day as our little reminder, we’re invited to notice how connected it all is—our well-being, our environment, and the energy we bring into our communities. The small things? They matter more than we think.

This month, we’re exploring Asteya (respect) as a form of connection—how we show up, share space, and care for what supports us.

Through practice, we start to feel it:
✨ Everything is connected
✨ What we do ripples outward
✨ Care is something we do, not just something we feel

A little more awareness, a little more intention… it all adds up 💛🌎

This month, as we explore yoga’s roots and interconnection, Jack Kornfield’s All in This Together is the perfect companion. 🌾

His stories and wisdom remind us that healing happens in relationship, kindness is service, and our actions ripple through the whole. Aligned with Asteya (non-stealing), it’s a gentle nudge to take only what we need, show up with care, and honor our communities.

How will you show up this month? 💫

Stress and tension can quietly build in the body and mind, leaving us feeling overwhelmed and disconnected. This Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra workshop offers a gentle, restorative path to release, guiding you toward calm, acceptance, and deep well-being.

We’ll begin with slow, supported Yin poses to soften the body and stretch the fascia, complemented by breathwork and soothing assists. From there, you’ll be guided into Yoga Nidra—a deeply meditative “sleep yoga” that helps clear stagnant energy and refresh the mind and spirit.

Perfect for anyone craving deep rest and reconnection, this experience is held in a peaceful, Reiki-infused space to support healing on every level. Reserve your spot today! ✨

For the month of April, we wanted to highlight Karen ✨

Karen has been practicing yoga for about 10 years, but felt called to deepen her knowledge by joining our 2026 teacher training cohort—for herself, her students, and her life coaching clients.

A lifelong learner, she’s discovering that yoga is so much more than poses—it’s woven into every part of her life. She’s gained strength, insight, and a deeper awareness both on and off the mat, and she’s excited to keep growing.

Through her work as a school counselor, she’s already integrating yoga with students and plans to bring it into her coaching practice as well. Along the way, she’s built meaningful connections with her fellow trainees and found her personal practice becoming more intentional and consistent.

🌄 Her favorite pose? Mountain Pose—because sometimes the simplest foundation holds the deepest lessons.

This journey has challenged her mentally as much as physically, reminding her that yoga isn’t about comparison—it’s about growth, self-awareness, and honoring where you are.

Off the mat, she’s noticed more calm, more breath, and more space in her mind and heart.

🧘‍♀️ Her intention as a teacher: to create a space where yoga is truly for EVERY body and EVERYBODY.

Her advice for those thinking of joining our next cohort? Do it—even if you never plan to teach. Do it for you. 💛

04/13/2026

All of these are ways of coming back to yourself. Growth isn’t just about doing more—it’s about treating yourself with respect, care, and honesty. When you trust and accept yourself, everything else begins to align more naturally.

This month, we’re returning to the roots of yoga—not just as movement, but as a practice of connection. A reminder that we are not separate—from each other, from nature, or from something greater.

Together, we’ll explore yoga as a holistic system of body, mind, and spirit, and what “union” truly means beyond the mat. We’ll also dive into Asteya (non-stealing), a principle that invites us to move through community with respect, integrity, and awareness.

✨ Arriving on time and staying present
✨ Honoring the energy and intention of our instructors
✨ Taking only what we need—physically, mentally, energetically
✨ Choosing gratitude over comparison

Asteya isn’t just about not taking—it’s about how we give back.

How we show up. How we care for the spaces and people that support us.

Where can you move with more awareness this month?

This dish celebrates the first sweetness of the season—strawberries in Maryland—balanced by the bright tartness of rhubarb. It also reflects the practice of Asteya, inviting us to appreciate what’s present without rushing what hasn’t yet arrived.

Ways to enjoy: spoon it over yogurt or oatmeal, serve it warm with toast or scones, swirl it into chia pudding, or add it to a simple grain bowl for a sweet-savory touch.

“The first fruits of the season remind us to slow down and savor—trusting that sweetness arrives in its own time.” 🍓✨
