While 2021 did not necessarily live up to the hope for things to be normal or easy, we made it through and so did you!
We understand that the year has been long and that many of us did not make it through without pain, loss and disappointment. But in the midst of hardship, we clinicians witnessed amazing tenacity, resiliency and unrelenting hope to keep going and growing.

Perhaps 2022 will be the year we all need to rest, hope, and have a bit of fun. Whatever the year may bring, we wish you the very best. Keep dreaming, planning, and setting goals and we will be here to help along the way.

Happy New Year to our amazing clients, staff, and friends!

Sincerely,

Melissa, Susan, Nicole, Allie, Brad, Elizabeth, Heather, Audrey, Blake and Emily

I felt so honored (and a bit nervous, let’s be honest) to give an interview for the New York Times this morning. We spoke for about 45 minutes on the complicated grief that comes from grief during the pandemic and how death due to COVID has made grief even more complex.

Grief is hard in general. But it’s been particularly difficult during the pandemic as people are so much more isolated and disconnected from their biggest sources of support.

Grief is best done in a community of people. We should never do it alone.

That is substantial especially when you consider the normal yearly fluctuations for the country. In this video, I discuss why pandemic stress is particularly stressful.

Feeling extra tired, irritated, and overwhelmed during the pandemic? This is an extremely common experience and there is clear reason why. In this video, Dr....
