Tonight, in the Costco parking lot, a young woman looked at me and said, "You were my vision therapy doctor a long time ago, back at Central Point Eyecare!" She told me her name, and suddenly I remembered her as the sweet elementary student. Now she's a mom of two littles! I'm so glad she stopped me to say hello ❤️

Thank you to Governor Kotek for the proclamation that August is Children’s Vision and Learning Month. Any child - especially one who struggles with (or avoids) reading - should definitely have an eye exam before starting school this fall. And if reading or learning is challenging, let the eye doctor know, so they can test eye tracking, focusing and eye teaming. A deficit in any of those systems can make reading and learning much harder.
