It is with much sadness that I share the passing of my beautiful mom, Sarah Blount Gibson, Sally.
She will be remembered with much love and joy.
My mom has been my inspiration since I was a little girl. She was an amazing mom to 5 daughters. She worked her tail off and had a fierce determination in all that she did. Her work ethic was untouchable. I remember my first job interview out of college. The HR rep asked me who my inspiration was and I started blubbery on and on about my mom. Somehow I got the job.
She loved and lived with passion and compassion for all. The best Grammy! She was always there for Friday night lights, lacrosse battles and even rec basketball. No matter the game she traveled far and wide and showed up as the #1 fan! And she did this equally for all 5 families and 16 grandchildren!
Grateful for all of our travels together and fun times. The jersey shore, California, Colorado, Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Virginia, New York , Spain. She was always up for a road trip! Ah the memories we had, whether it was a girls trip of a family trip, Grammy was all in!
I will greatly miss our daily chats as I traverse my territory. And I thank you for always being there to talk about small trivial matters or big, life-changing events. You always listened with grace and love.
I love you so much mom. On this Mother’s Day I will celebrate you with so much love, gratitude and joy. Thank you for it all. ❤️
