February is Black History Month, a time to honor the history, achievements, and contributions of Black Americans who have shaped our nation. We remember Harriet Tubman, whose lifelong commitment to service extended beyond her courageous work on the Underground Railroad. Later in life, she helped establish the Harriet Tubman Home for the Aged, caring for elderly and underserved members of her community — a powerful example of compassion, dignity, and community care that resonates with us today.

While wintery weather settles in, our residents are happily hunkered down—enjoying chef-prepared meals, engaging activities, and plenty of warm, comfortable moments from the safety of our community.

Our team is keeping a close eye on conditions and ensuring everything runs smoothly. We’ll be sure to share updates if needed, but for now, it’s business as usual—with a little extra cozy. 💙

Our Personal Care and Memory Care residents had a great time with MariGold, Horticultural Therapy! Marsha not only helps us make fun and beautiful flower🌸💐 crafts, but she also gives us an engaging lesson 📚 on the plants 🪴 we are working with!
