Wondering how to tell when the big day is here?
👀 Keep an eye out for these telltale signals that your little one is on the way:
1️⃣ Changes in vaginal discharge... watery, mucousy, thick, even tinges of red 🩸, which is the classic “bloody show” from the cervix preparing for birth.
2️⃣ More visits to the bathroom 💩 . Prostaglandins clear out the bowel in preparation for birth. 🙌
3️⃣ Your baby dropping lower into your pelvis (farewell, heartburn!) 🔥, which can cause lower backaches and persistent pelvic pressure. 😅
4️⃣ A burst of energy before the final sprint as your nesting instincts will be in full swing – hello, spotless nursery!
5️⃣ A cold?! 🤧 Believe it or not, some moms will get a little cold as the immune system changes right before birth making us more susceptible to germs. Thankfully, it usually passes before labor begins. 🙏🏻
6️⃣ Hunger. Moms usually don’t eat as much in the last weeks of pregnancy because there’s not much room left in the stomach. 🤣 However, right before birth, you might find yourself craving comfort foods like lasagna, pasta, or burgers. Your body is fueling up for the biggest marathon of its life. 🏃♀️
👉🏼 Stay calm, embrace the excitement, and remember to get some good rest. Remember less than 5% of babies are born on their “due” date. Your baby will come at the PERFECT time. Trust the process, mama! 💕
