Today, our community came together to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy through acts of service and kindness.

More than 70 employees and 50 community members stopped by to give back by making blankets for children and Project Linus 🧶, creating cat and dog toys to support our local SPCA 🐾, and donating food and household essentials to benefit Phoenixville Area Community Service. 🥫🧼

Your generosity helped make a meaningful difference in our community. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped turn service into action. ❤️

Today our nation honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a visionary leader whose commitment to justice and equality continues to inspire the world.

Dr. King once asked, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”

In that spirit, employees across Tower Health will take part in community service projects to honor his legacy.

In healthcare, our work is closely tied to Dr. King’s vision for a better tomorrow. His legacy lives on through acts of kindness, servant leadership, and the continued pursuit of justice.

Even though the holiday crowds may be behind us, the flu is still hanging around. Get the facts and keep taking those precautions!

💡 Flu symptoms can show up fast including fever 🤒, cough 🤧, body aches 🤕, and fatigue 😴
💡 You can be contagious before you even feel sick 🦠
💡 Antibiotics won’t help because they only fight bacteria 🧫 not the flu virus

Stay mindful, wash your hands 🧼, rest when you need to 🛌, and look out for yourself and others this winter season ❄️💪

When you walk into Phoenixville Hospital, one of the first friendly faces you might see is Jack Edwards. And his smile comes with a story. 💙

What started as an internship through Project SEARCH became a life-changing opportunity and a meaningful career. The program partners with KenCrest to help individuals with disabilities prepare for meaningful employment. Jack joined the program in 2024 to build job skills and confidence, never imagining he would one day be welcoming patients as a guest services attendant and mentoring future interns.

During his rotations across the hospital, Jack discovered strengths he did not know he had and formed lasting connections, especially with volunteer coordinator Kathy White.

“When Jack came in, well, he was just a star,” White said. “I love watching the interns come in and just blossom as they build their skillset and become empowered.”

Today, Jack is more than a warm welcome at the front door. He is a mentor, a teammate, and proof that with opportunity and support, people truly can shine.

“My job is a lot more than just greeting people,” Jack shared. “You’re the face of the hospital and someone’s first impression, so it’s an important job.”

Please note, infants were continuously monitored by staff and their families and only in their costumes and positions momentarily with proper nursing supervision. For Safe Sleep, infants should always be placed on their backs in a crib with proper bedding with no loose items.
