Thankful to have stayed safe during this storm. I hope all my patients are home safe and warm too.

As the ice melts, I’ll be able to see what this week’s going to look like for appointments. I’ve personally reached out to those scheduled for today. I will be continuing to monitor to see how tomorrow will go.

If you’re concerned about your scheduled appointment, please reach out via phone to reachedule if needed. (I’ll have my phone nearby throughout the day)

While it does seem things are clearing up nicely around town, we still have folks working tirelessly to restore our area. Please respect requests to restrict unnecessary travel, and give our crews the space and time they need to finish the job. If you can, cozy up and take advantage!! We’ll see you soon!!

While this Yankee might be excited for a
little winter weather, I definitely hope all of my patients stay safe this weekend! Keep an eye on the page for any updates regarding closures next week (not anticipated but staying wary) and I hope you all stay safe and warm! ❄️

With so many new followers, I wanted to reintroduce myself and my trusty sidekick!

Meet the Provider! 🩺

Dr. Tiffany Orcena is a graduate of Sherman College of Chiropractic in Boiling Springs, South Carolina.

Her resume in the world of health and fitness is extensive, to include a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion from Otterbein College in Westerville, OH; a Master’s degree in Sports Leadership from the University of Kentucky; certification through the American College of Sports Medicine as an Exercise Physiologist; and certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

She’s held a number of roles in a variety of settings to serve as a trainer and health promotion specialist, most notably to include internships with the esteemed Cooper Institute in Dallas, Texas, as well as The Ohio State University Department of Strength and Conditioning in Columbus, OH, and serving as Co-Owner and COO of PULSE Fitness & Performance, in Urbana, Ohio.

“Fitness is my passion, and as a trainer and gym-owner I was granted the opportunity to spread my gospel in a way that I am both talented and interested. But physical health is so much more than strength and conditioning. For me, the move into chiropractic was not a career change, but rather a new tool for providing my clients more complete physical wellness.”

During chiropractic school, Dr. Orcena sought training and certification through Greenville Technical College as a firefighter/EMT. “I didn’t feel comfortable with the idea that I’d have ‘Dr.’ in front of my name and not know how to handle an emergency, so I sought that knowledge and experience for myself.” She proceeded to gain employment with Pickens County EMS where she worked as an EMT through the conclusion of her chiropractic education, and maintained employment there through May 2024. 🚑

In April 2024, Dr. Orcena embarked on a new venture opening The Downlow- Pickens, next door to her office on Main Street in Pickens. She describes this as a left field project for herself—an outlet for creativity and the social aspect of her personality. This “speakeasy vibe bar” hosts moonshine cocktails, beer and wine, live music, private gatherings and more. 🍷

Dr. Orcena grew up in central Ohio, where her immediate family still resides. An athlete at heart, she formerly participated in amateur bodybuilding as a figure competitor, and maintains an active presence in the gym and weight room.

She is an ardent animal lover with a particular fondness for rescue pets. 🐾

Brutus, a former resident of the Pickens Country Animal Shelter, has been trained and registered as a service animal, and is often seen with Dr. Orcena in office and around town.
