I would like to introduce to you my assistant manager. Most of you have met him, but for those who have not, his name is Jesus Hernandez. We call him Chewy.
Chewy came to Dansby Heritage Chapel in 2022. A time that, as I look back on it, he was definitely a God-send. After graduating from the Mortuary Program at Jeff State, he completed his apprenticeship with us. He is a licensed embalmer and funeral director and recently became a licensed preneed sales person for the funeral home.
Chewy is a very thorough, compassionate funeral director. He wants every family to be treated as he would like his family treated. He has the patience of Job, (especially since I have had to drop everything in his lap recently), he never complains and is always smiling. He is an all around great guy who is not afraid to meet any challenge he faces.
If you haven’t met Chewy, drop by Dansby Heritage Chapel and let him know you are proud he is a part of our team. As I face many more uncertain days, Chewy will be the face that will walk you through your arrangements. Trust me, he is one of the best. We are so blessed to have such a fine man representing us.
Joining him are still Jennifer Dansby, Floyd Jennings, Gary Black, Cynthia McGowen and David Cox. I will remain as active as tolerated.
