Today is International Overdose Awareness Day. 💜
This is the real day of global remembrance, connection, and action. Together, we honor lives lost, support those grieving, and recommit to harm reduction and saving lives.

Let’s break stigma, raise awareness, and keep pushing for healthcare and compassion-centered approaches (not punitive ones) so no life is cut short by overdose.

Observed each year, Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness Day shines a spotlight on the disproportionate impact of HIV in the Southern United States. The South accounts for the majority of new HIV diagnoses in the country, and communities here often face unique barriers to prevention, testing, and treatment such as limited healthcare access, stigma, and systemic inequities.

Today is a call to action to raise awareness, promote testing, expand access to care, and work together to end HIV-related stigma and health disparities.

🎙️ We’re back— and bolder than ever

Introducing the relaunch of The Needle and the Narrative, a podcast by Challenges Inc SC, made possible by being a grantee of the 2025 CNP Media Fund.

We’re kicking things off with a powerful four-part series:Intersecting Stories: HIV, Drug User Health, and Vulnerable Communities. exploring the intersection of harm reduction and HIV through in-depth conversations centering rural, LGBTQ+, justice-involved, and BIPOC communities, groups often most deeply impacted and least heard.

Challenges Inc.

We are a Harm Reduction Service in Upstate South Carolina. We provide clean supplies to keep drug users safe and stop the spread of disease. We distribute Naloxone (Narcan), to prevent over dose deaths. We act as a “bridge” for getting people the help they need, when they want it.
