Fall Cooking Series starts Oct 27, 2021
Hello All!
Happy Autumn 2021. As promised, I am launching a Cooking Series starting with Autumn. There will be 5 classes that can be purchased singly or as a series. They will be Live on Zoom on Wednesday and Sunday evenings at 8pm for 30 minutes each.
What will we cover?
How to eat with the seasons to best enhance the health of you and your family. Traditional principles from Chinese Medicine on Nutrition and cooking techniques.
EASY RECIPES!! That are Nutritious and Delicious!!
Many of you know that I LOVE food, cooking and eating! I will share my enthusiasm and tips for creating easy delicious meals. I hope that it will be fun, educational and inspirational and that you will take away some recipes that you will enjoy throughout the season.
We will discuss the seasonal influences and how to nourish our health during the dry Autumnal season. I will discuss shopping, how to streamline your weekly cooking, tips on food storage and how to make food kid-friendly, gluten free friendly, paleo friendly, vegan and non vegan options for the fabulous recipes we will cover.
Dates:
Weds Oct 27. Autumn Dryness., encouraging moisture, warmth and deeper nourishment: Steaming vegetables. We will cover which vegetables are best for this season and how to prepare them for optimum nutrition. Easy recipes that you can vary throughout the season. Delicious, easy dressings that are kid friendly and friendly to all diets mentioned above. GRAIN BOWLS
Weds Nov3 Congee: sweet and savory. This nourishing comfort food can be made throughout the season and made sweet or savory. One can eat this as a breakfast, lunch or dinner. Or all 3!! Easy, nutritious and we can get creative!!
Sun Nov7 Soups Easy nutritious soups that can nourish you all week long! Focusing on Autumnal grains and vegetables. How to stagger your meals.
Weds Nov 10 Seeds/Nuts How to shop for the best quality nuts and seeds, best practise for optimum digestion, soaking, slow roasting, storage. dried fruit ,coconut chips. How to bring them into your daily diet.
Sun Nov14 Poaching fruits; how to make, store and serve yummy autumnal fruits to kids and adults. From simple to gourmet in quick easy steps!
These are all chosen as ways to improve your health during this time of year. Which herbs and spices to use, which oils are best, which grains are best for Autumn which all prepares us for Winter., Of course we will have FUN along the way!

Costs: $15 per class or $60 for the entire series ($15 discount) Classes will be held at 8pm PST live only. I recommend the 5 class series as this way you will have an easy and thorough repertoire for the season.
