Once you’ve scanned an animal and imported the image, the Imported Image Page is your chance to review, adjust, and confirm before processing it for the projections page.
Here’s what you can do—and why it matters:
🐮 Reposition Fat and Rib Top Lines - Need to adjust the placement of the fat thickness or marbling line? You can easily move them to your liking or reset them back to the automated placement using the Re-Place Fat & Ribtop Lines button. Proper placement ensures accurate calculations for body fat and marbling scores, which feed directly into your carcass predictions.
🐮 Update Weight and ADG - If weight or average daily gain wasn’t captured accurately in the field—or needs correcting—you can edit it here. These numbers are critical for projecting the animal’s performance, days to finish, and expected carcass weight.
🐮 Hide or Show Lines for Clarity - You can toggle the fat and rib top lines to better view the image detail or confirm placement, helping you avoid errors in high-density scan sessions.
Every change you make on this page helps improve the accuracy and reliability of the final projections. Taking just a few seconds here can make a big difference in the quality of your report.

☀️ We are in the heart of County Fair Season, here are a few of our best tips! ☀️

🍀If a squeeze in the chute isn't available, have someone push on the opposite side to avoid the animal's back sagging. If someone local has a portable chute it can be a GAME CHANGER for scanning county fair cattle.

🍀 Because you aren't able to clip the calf, it's handy to have a scotch comb to part the hair where you place the probe. (This helps with better contact on the image.)

🍀 Make sure that the calf is completely dried off. If it just came from the wash rack, ask them to go dry it off and then come back.

🍀 Ask how quickly they need the data, if you're judging it.

Make sure to give us a heads up before you scan a county fair!
