Our community gathered yesterday for a memorial celebration honoring the life of Jackie Spencer, our beloved former Director of Environmental Services who passed away unexpectedly last month. ❤️

Through the stories and favorite memories shared, we were all reminded of the kindness, wisdom, and laughter Jackie brought into our lives. Her dedication to North Oaks was unmatched, and while her absence is deeply felt, her spirit remains a permanent part of this community. ✨

We're proud to continue our wonderful partnership with the Maryland Institute College of Art and welcome MICA student Dailin Li to our community to teach weekly classes! 💃

In her recent session, Dailin guided our residents through the flowing beauty of traditional Chinese Dance. By blending rhythmic movement with the mindfulness of Tai Chi and focused breathwork, she created an atmosphere that was as rejuvenating as it was educational.

There’s something extra special about a handmade card, and we loved having the students from McDonogh School here to help our residents get creative and swap stories. 💌

We kept the party going with our Hollywood-themed Valentine’s Day Ball, posing for photos and enjoying the glamour of the day. 💝

Snowed in? No problem! ❄️ 🏠

A huge shoutout to our dedicated grounds and maintenance team for their incredible work clearing the roads and walkways during this weekend’s snowstorm. While most of the world stayed inside, our team was out with plows and shovels, ensuring our community remained safe and accessible.

Along with the staff members who stayed overnight to make sure our residents were safe, warm, and well cared for, we couldn’t ask for a more committed team.
