Not every season is meant for constant sharing.

Some are for pulling inward.
For conserving energy.
For reaching out only when it feels true.

Connection doesn’t have to be loud to be real.

Let it be you — no apology required. 💚

My ginger is starting to peek through the soil!

Every year it amazes me — that something we grate into stir fry or steep in tea begins as this little shoot.

Ginger is warming.
It supports digestion, circulation, and that inner spark we sometimes need when the seasons are shifting.

And before all of that… it simply rests underground.
Gathering strength.
Waiting for the right moment to rise.

There’s something comforting about that rhythm.

Have you ever grown ginger before?

We often think of nourishment as something we consume.
But winter reminds us there are other ways to be fed.

Support shows up in routines, in rest, in small moments that warm the heart without effort.

Let yourself notice what’s been nourishing you lately.

Valentine’s Day, The Ayurvedic Herbal Nerd Edition!

Warmth fuels circulation.
Circulation nourishes the heart.
The heart craves steady love.

(A love poem, apparently.)

Your simple heart ritual:
Spiced Winter Cacao
1 cup milk (or alt)
1-2 tsp cacao
Pinch ginger + cinnamon + cardamom
Dash cayenne (if spicy calls to you)

Whisk warm. Sweeten soft. Sip slow.

Less indulgence, more inner fire. 💚

No algorithms.
No hurry.
Just someone taking the time to create something beautiful and send it into the world.

Every detail handmade — lace, hearts, encouraging notes.

I’m tagging Debbie Endres, Facilitator of Women's Gatherings in case you want to explore her offerings. These monthly treasures sell out pretty quickly for a good reason! She pours her whole heart into this. 💌

February carries a quiet invitation: warming the heart.

Not by forcing brightness.
Not by doing more.

But by noticing where warmth already lives —
in a familiar ritual,
in the steam from a warm drink,
in the small ways you tend without fixing.

This month, let yourself linger there. 🌱

Cold air.
Warm hands.
A moment of pause.

What’s one small comfort you can give yourself today?

No lists.
No pressure.
Just one.

February is heart month — and rosehips feel like the perfect plant ally.

These bright red fruits of the rose are rich in antioxidants and vitamin C and have long been loved for their gentle support of the heart, immunity, skin, and digestion. They’re exactly the kind of strength we need this time of year.

Rosehips aren’t flashy, and they’re definitely not fragile. They’re steady, resilient, and deeply nourishing.

Because rosehips are dense, they do best with a little patience. Instead of a quick steep, try a longer simmer or an overnight infusion to draw out their goodness. Rosehips pair beautifully with elderberries, hibiscus, and hawthorn berry (to name a few).

I grew up with a remedy that combined rosehips, apple cider vinegar, honey, and hot water — it worked every time to chase the crud away and it was delicious.

What’s your favorite way to incorporate rosehips into your winter routine?

Warm hands.
A steady cup of tea.
Familiar routines that hold you through winter.

February invites warmth — not more effort.

The new blog is live, with a gentle reflection on slowing down, warming the heart, and letting comfort be enough in the deep of winter.

January didn’t ask for a full reset.

Just a few quiet clearings.

A little less noise.

A bit more breath.

Consider this: What you clear becomes your clarity.

Pause and notice what feels even a little easier now.

January isn’t meant to rush you.

It invites presence over performance.

Choosing gently instead of doing endlessly.

What can you do less, but more meaningfully?

What’s one small thing you can give your full attention to today?
