We Care Wednesday!

We are very grateful for the case managers who work with us daily to ensure our residents receive a seamless transition from hospital to our facility. We recently visited with several case managers at Sparta Community Hospital, Washington County Hospital, and SSM Good Samaritan in Mount Vernon. We took them a small gift just to show our gratitude for their support.

We introduced our new Hydration Station to our residents today, providing them with a variety of flavored water options. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the different flavors, which are now readily available throughout our facility. Our hydration station encourage regular fluid intake, essential for maintaining energy levels and overall health. Our campaign to boost fluid consumption has proven successful – the eye-catching hydration stations are impossible to resist, making it easy for residents to help themselves.

Meet the team Monday!

Gabby is our DON and is a wonderful asset to our team.

Gabbys favorite holiday is Christmas, favorite food is meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn, favorite color is pink, and favorite thing to do in her spare time is spend time with her husband, 3 fur babies, and besties.

What an eventful day! We were able to go and speak with several case management teams at several southern Illinois hospitals for We Care Wednesday. It was a great day of getting to know our case management teams at these hospitals. No matter how the cookies might crumble, these hospital referrals are amazing!

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to our new Administrator, Robert Alstat, at Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehab 🎉

With a bachelor degree in Business Administration and Accounting, Robert started his career working in the skilled nursing facility in August of 2025 as a Business Office Manager and has worked hard towards his goals of becoming an administrator in the short time he has been with us.

Robert provides great leadership experience and a true passion for providing exceptional, resident-centered care. We are thrilled to have him lead our dedicated team and continue our mission of supporting the seniors and families in the area.

What a wonderful end to an exceptional week. We grilled out for lunch today, had our Nursing Home Week king and queen crowning, played games, went fishing, and of course snacked!!

We truly had the best time this week❤️
