I've been teaching fitness classes in the Hudson Valley for over 15 years. During this time, I've opened my own gym, then later a successful yoga & fitness studio. Now, I'm kicking back in Montgomery, doing what I love most: teaching yoga, Pilates and pole and building a positive-thinking community.

Meet the Yogi:
Krystal Youngberg

Where do you live?
Middletown, NY

Why do you practice yoga?

I love the way that yoga encompasses strength and flexibility together.

When did you start practicing yoga?
I took my first Aerial Yoga class in April of 2025

What do you like about yoga?

I love being able to measure your improvement week to week. Every week I feel like I’m able to do something that i may have struggled with the week prior. I always feel calmer and happier leaving the class than when I walked in.

Which pose is most challenging for you and why?

One of the most challenging was flipping in Aerial yoga- at my first try I wasn’t able to do it but week by week I continued to improve.

What surprised you about doing yoga?
I can’t believe how much practicing yoga has improved my strength. I also weight train and through practicing yoga find myself able to lift heavier and recover quicker.

Which pose is easiest for you and why?
Easiest I would have to say are the resting poses but my favorites are different inversions like Peter Pan, Angel or climbing.

What are your yoga goals?
I want to continue to improve my strength and flexibility. A measurable goal is to be able to do a split by the end of the year which we’ve been working on in class.

What advice do you have for someone thinking about trying yoga?
Book the class! Your strength will grow, your flexibility will increase and you will feel rejuvenated after each class!

Thank you, Krystal, for being an important part of our .
