Joan Miller Mind Body Training

Joan Miller Mind Body Training Experienced and Affordable Yoga, Aerial Yoga, Pilates, Step, Pole, Guided Meditation and Hypnosis

I've been teaching fitness classes in the Hudson Valley for over 15 years. During this time, I've opened my own gym, then later a successful yoga & fitness studio. Now, I'm kicking back in Montgomery, doing what I love most: teaching yoga, Pilates and pole and building a positive-thinking community.

Thinking about trying aerial yoga but feeling a little unsure? DO IT. You don’t need to be flexible, strong, or have any circus training (promise!). Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to hang—literally.

One of these ladies was taking aerial yoga class for the first time, but you won't be able to tell which one she is, because you learn so quickly in this class. To get set up in a swing, text me at 845-393-4440.

Meet the Yogi: Nicole Leake

Where do you live?
Pine Bush

What is your occupation?
Hair Stylist

What do you like best about your occupation?
What I love most about being a hairstylist is making people feel like the best version of themselves. It’s more than hair–it’s confidence, connection and trust.

When did you start practicing yoga?
A few months ago.

What do you like about yoga?
With Aerial Yoga, I am surprised in every class with what my body is capable of doing. It really is empowering and challenging all at the same time. I feel better now that I started yoga.

Which pose is most challenging for you? Why?
I’m not quite sure of the term, however, doing splits has been the most challenging for me. But rest assured every week I can get a little closer to nailing that pose.

What surprised you about doing yoga?
How much I would absolutely love it. I did not think I would be able to stay focused enough to really put the effort in. Aerial yoga has proven me wrong. Every week I am getting physically and mentally stronger.

Which pose is easiest for you?
I love any inversion pose!

What are your yoga goals?
To move with fluidity in the aerial trapeze as well as strengthen my whole body and mind.

What advice do you have for someone thinking about trying yoga?
Start where you are and not where you think you should be. Don’t be intimidated by the trapeze. I had no idea what I was walking into my first class but went in with an open mind. And haven’t looked back!
