Back-to-school season can be exciting—but it can also feel overwhelming. There’s a lot to juggle: new routines, busy mornings, school supplies, forms to fill out, and big feelings (from kids and adults).

If you’re feeling a little stretched, you’re not alone.

We just want to remind you: you're doing a great job. Even when it’s messy or stressful, showing up for your kids matters. Be kind to yourself, take breaks when you can, and reach out if you need support. We’re here with you, cheering you on as you navigate this season of change.

It’s almost the weekend—let’s milk this Friday for all it’s worth! 🍼😉

Here’s your friendly reminder: Skin-to-skin has no expiration date.

Maybe you held your baby skin-to-skin right after birth—amazing!
Maybe things didn’t go as planned—that’s okay too.

However your beautiful story is unfolding, know this:
There’s always time for skin-to-skin.
Day two? Week two? Month two? Even year two? Yes, yes, and YES.
There’s no such thing as “too late”—only time to gain. 💛

But how does it help? Let’s break it down:
👃 Familiar scents: The glands around your ni***es release the same scent as amniotic fluid! Skin-to-skin gives your baby the comforting smell of home—you.

💗 Built-in regulation: Your warmth, your heartbeat, your breath—all help your baby feel safe, soothed, and settled. It’s a natural stress reliever.

🩸 Blood sugar support: In the womb, you did all the blood sugar work. Once baby’s born, it’s on them—but skin-to-skin can help stabilize their glucose levels, possibly avoiding extra pokes or tests.

So go ahead—schedule in that cuddle session.
Today, tomorrow, or whenever it works for you.
Because you are your baby’s favorite place. 💕

Thursday Thoughts

Sure, being “nap trapped” can feel tough…
There’s laundry, dishes, emails, a million things calling for your attention. But take a breath. Let yourself sit. Let your feet rest.

Because right now, your baby is soaking in magic:
- the sound of your heartbeat
- the smell of your skin
- the warmth of your chest

This is pure gold to an infant’s developing brain.
Security. Connection. Love.

So next time you’re nap trapped, remember—you’re not stuck. You’re studying the science of bonding.

Couch College: Enrollment open, no application required. 💤💛
