Why should women lift heavy things??

Women.Age.Heavy Lifting.Central Nervous System.

As you age signals for lean mass development slowly decline as well as keeping lean mass. Two things are needed power + strength!

In order to stimulate lean mass development you need and external stressor which triggers a central nervous system response.

Everyone has a different capacity. What is a heavy external stressor for one woman may not be the same for another. Don't get caught up in numbers. But do challenge yourself. If you need help with the process leave me a message.

Women and muscle a good Remedy for longevity and general overall health

I am 48 and I am a cheerleader for women and muscle strength. It is never too late to get started, and to start at the level you are capable of.

Training over the age of 40 has to look different.

Implementing, such things as sprint intervals, jump training, and 5 rep sets with heavier weight, can go a long way to reverse osteopenia, increase metabolism, fat loss and general badassery!

Climbing....Ascending... is a slow process. With each new ascent a layer of stagnation is over come in soul and body, and your body and soul become synced in movement a little more and a little more!

Making the climb to the lookout is something I try to challenge myself each winter to do to break out of my cabin fever stagnation. The reward at the top is breathtaking views, and a giddy feeling of the physical accomplishment!

It is a good feeling, but also reminds and gives me an experience to set the foundation for the every day hard climbs of life.

So It's easy to stay comfortable. It's easy to repeat the same pattern over and over.

But growth takes doing the uncomfortable, doing what sucks but doing it anyway

Science says that this is what creates new dendrities in the brain to form new patterns of behavior.

The battle is in the mind. So this ride absolutely Sucked 0° and windy and every minute I felt like stopping. Strengthen your mind and you become stronger

Part of manual therapy is opening up these blood flow/supply routes to increase blood flow to specific areas of the body for healing and better movement!

Everyone has a different capacity for movement, but being able to assist others in the exploration
of that, and facilitate healing to areas that may be impeding progress for them is paramount to
my practice.

There are many tools in this trade, but to me, number one is listening. When you
listen to the client and go in without an agenda, or presuming to know what the needs of the
client are ahead of time, it has been my experience that you make the most progress.
It is
important to know what tool to use and when to use it.

I live to move and be in the fullness of all life has to offer. A natural passion for movement, and
observing the amazing ways our human bodies continue to evolve, with the ability to do and be
more, is what has kept me practicing the healing arts for 28years.

Staying challenged physically and mentally are important for continued growth and adaptability
in the therapy industry. That means having an experienced reality to bring to the table, knowing how the body moves in space because of your own exploration of movement.

I believe it was Einstein that said “unless something moves nothing
happens.”
