Being "just" a yoga student again is so much fun and I have found a few "yoga gems" around town that I think are a good fit for our former Village Yoga peeps!
ON WEDNESDAYS at 8:45 am Pam Rempfer-Durkin teaches a lovely SLOW FLOW class at the Pavillion in the Arboretum in Pinehurst. You have to sign up through the Pinehurst Parks & Recreation Department. They do allow drop ins (at just $7 per class) but you have to call to register and pay at 910-295-2817 ext 0. A bit of a hassle, but well worth the effort! This class will shift to the community center when weather necessitates.
If you are missing the lovely Jaqui Morrow Rodriguez...Jaqui now teaches a THURSDAYS 10:15 am GENTLE YOGA at Indigo Yoga in Aberdeen.
On SATURDAYS, Workhorse Fitness & Yoga across from the reservoir in Southern Pines has an amazing stretchy class called Mobility Flow. Foam rollers are incorporated and I love teacher Laura Barton. The space is beautiful but small so you have to sign up early.
If you are looking for something a bit more energetic but can't stand a lot of heat, Hot Asana in Southern Pines does offer a handful of tolerably warm classes in a beautiful new space.
A sore shoulder kept me off the mat for months but I am so grateful to be able to once again explore all our wonderful yoga community has to offer! Namaste All!
