Just putting a “mesh” in without securing it does not provide adequate breast crease support! This client had an absorbable mesh placed during her initial surgery and it obviously did not work. Correction of bottoming out/pocket reconstruction involves re-creating the breast crease with a custom lattice of sutures directly to the chest wall. This secures implants to an appropriate position and eliminates ni**le show! Implant reconstruction procedures are common in our practice and we perform around 100 per year.

More and more reports are coming out about aesthetic surgery disasters abroad. Be safe and only consider going abroad if you understand the language and the culture! There are terrific surgeons abroad that deliver terrific outcomes, but it’s not worth it unless you speak the language and understand the culture.

Pectoralis Implant Removal.. the issue with pec implants and body implants in general is they are typically made of silicone elastomer, which can be quite firm like rubber. It certainly does not have the same feel as muscle, which is what these implants are trying to replicate. This is contrary to silicone breast implants which are made from silicone gel and engineered to feel like breast tissue. While body implants can certainly look good, the “artificial” feel of them is what clients need to understand before moving forward with a silicone body implant procedure.

How quickly will I heal?! This is the most common question during any consultation. While final healing from most procedures is anywhere from 9-12 months, “initial” healing is more procedure dependent. A lip lift procedure is one of the most common procedures I perform. It is performed in an office setting, takes under 2 hours, and the “initial” healing time is rather quick, typically 7-10 days!

This lovely client unfortunately had silicone lip injections outside the USA. Her lips were left lumpy, unbalanced and uneven.
