Our Subconscious Mind is Intricately Linked to Our Autonomic Nervous System (ANS).

The subconscious mind and the autonomic nervous system (ANS) are incredibly connected. They work in tandem to regulate many of the body's involuntary functions and this relationship can have a huge impact on our health.

The ANS through the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic systems controls our bodily functions such as heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, and breathing.

The subconscious mind functions below our level of conscious awareness, influencing our beliefs, emotions, and automatic responses. It triggers responses to perceived threats, whether those threats are real or imagined. This can lead to chronic stress and health issues if the threats are misinterpreted.

Using techniques like meditation, mindfulness, and deep breathing, the subconscious mind can activate relaxation and reduce stress. Calming affirmations, controlled breathing techniques, visualization, and guided imagery of peaceful and positive scenarios can also signal the subconscious into relaxation and rejuvenation.
