Congratulations to both the Bell County Boys Basketball Team and the Bell County Lady Cats Basketball Team on a great season!

The Lady Cats claimed the 52nd District Championship and made a strong run to the 13th Region Semi-Finals. The Bobcats also brought home the 52nd District title and followed it up with an appearance in the 13th Region Championship Final.

The entire Bell County community is proud of the way both teams represented our school and our area this season, showing great character, hard work, and determination on and off the court.

Congrats to the Pineville Men's Basketball team on an incredible season. Back-to-back 51st District Champs is something to be proud of, and it’s been fun for our community to watch the Men’s and Women’s teams compete all year. Definitely a season Pineville won’t forget.

We also want to give a shoutout to the Pineville Women’s Basketball team on a great season. The effort, teamwork, and pride both teams showed representing Pineville this year didn’t go unnoticed.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and it’s a good time to talk about screening.

For most people at average risk, regular screening is recommended to begin at age 45.

Some folks are considered higher risk, like those with a strong family history of colorectal cancer, certain genetic conditions, or inflammatory bowel disease. In those cases, screening may start earlier, sometimes around age 40 or even 10 years before the age when a family member was diagnosed.

If you’ve been putting off screening or have questions about when it might be right for you, talk with your doctor or stop by the store to chat. Also, we can order screening kits that can be purchased over-the-counter.
