Have you ever thought about how symbiotic we are with the earth and nature? How much plant life is here for us?

NASA has classified Snake plant, now called Dracaena, as an air purifier due to its ability to remove toxic compounds such as benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, xylene and toluene.

This plant uses the acid metabolism of the Crassulacee to exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide, enabling it to resist drought.

The microscopic pores on its leaves, called stomata, open only at night to limit water loss through transpiration in the heat of the sun.

Unlike other plants, Snake plant produces oxygen and absorbs carbon dioxide at night, making it an excellent indoor air purifier while we sleep.

**WHAT ARE CHAKRAS?**

Chakra, which means "wheel" or "disk," refers to specific energy centers in your body. These centers have been utilized in ancient meditation and healing practices for centuries. Chakras are believed to play a crucial role in maintaining balance in a person's spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional well-being. For optimal health, all of your chakras should be open and unblocked, allowing energy to flow freely throughout your body.

However, everyday stress—both internal and external—can lead to blocked chakras, resulting in physical, emotional, or spiritual issues. Therefore, it is important to learn how to naturally unblock your chakras.

There are various beliefs about the number of chakras, some claiming there may be as many as 114. However, the seven main chakras are the most commonly recognized and worked with. These seven chakras are located from the base of your spine to the crown of your head. When your chakras become blocked, you may experience negative effects from the energy not flowing freely throughout your body and mind. By unblocking all your chakras, your energy can flow more freely, leading to harmony among your mental, physical, and spiritual aspects.

Your seven chakras are:
● Root chakra
● Sacral Chakra
● Solar Plexus Chakra
● Heart Chakra
● Throat Chakra
● Third eye chakra
● Crown Chakra

Before we discuss each chakra, you may be wondering how to know which chakra is potentially blocked. You can use these simple questions as a quick test:

1st Chakra (Root) - Do you feel grounded? Are you physically healthy?

2nd Chakra (Sacral) - Do you have abundance in your life? Are you an emotionally balanced person? Are you comfortable expressing yourself sexually?

3rd Chakra (Solar Plexus) - Do you have a high degree of self-esteem? Are you confident?

4th Chakra (Heart) - Do you have love in your life (friends, family, significant other)? Are you emotionally connected to others, and/or have a strong social network?

5th Chakra (Throat) - Do you communicate your thoughts to others well? Do people consider you articulate?

6th Chakra (Third Eye) - Do you intuitively “know” certain things, without being taught beforehand? Are you wise? A deep thinker? Do you have a well-developed “mind’s eye”?

7th Chakra (Crown) - Do you understand your spiritual connection to all that exists? Are you able to recognize your inner and outer beauty?

Did you answer “no” to any of the previous questions? Most people have at least a few blocked chakras because when one chakra is blocked the others try to compensate for the blockage. That’s why it’s important to know what each chakra controls.
