A doula snapped a picture during a newborn exam. Not only can we take care of mama throughout pregnancy and postpartum, but once baby's born, midwives can provide full care to baby for the first 6 weeks. It's such an honor to support families as they grow!

I usually get asked what my fave part of birth is. This right here. The end of the birth as the midwife team is getting ready to go home and leave you tucked in bed with your new baby. Why? Because that's one of the things I loved about my home births. Getting tucked into bed as a new family with a beautiful baby next to me. Love that this got to happen for this family, she worked hard for it, but she did it, thank you Father!

This little guy pushed his labor to the limits. "False" alarms a week before, and then 30+hours of labor, a chiropractor home visit, and packing bags to go to the hospital is what it took to get this little guy to join his family. And he was #3 - talk about that third baby being the wild card labor. So grateful you're here and that mama was the rockstar that she is!

Look at all these cuties! One mama hired me, and then her dear family members also allowed me to be part of their births! Loved getting to catch cousins! And everyone was together when I swung by to check on the newest baby, so we got a picture (except for the one napping) . Calli(the fat one in my lap 😜) has alot of friends!

Breech does not need to be an automatic c-section! After hiring me later in pregnancy, these parents discovered their baby was breech and decided to move forward with the home birth, believing it was just another version of normal. Mama rocked her labor and birth and now look at this cutie sporting his home birth onesie!

What fun to be pregnant at the same time! And now our babies are both here and the friendship between them has started ...

When your mom is a midwife, you start early and attend a birth at 6 days old. Calli (my baby on the left) who was bigger at birth by a half pound, got passed up by baby N, who weighed in at 11 pounds for her 6week check up today.
