In this month's edition of our "Resiliency Newsletter", we wanted to take a moment to not only acknowledge our four-legged LEOs. K-9s play a vital role in assisting officers in some of the most stressful and high risk situations 🚨🚔🚨

The importance of K-9's is vital too all law enforcement agencies from municipal, to county, to state, to correctional facilities, to federal agencies, the list goes on and on...🐾🐕🐾

So how can we help out K-9 partners remain healthy, sharp, and of course, resiliency (especially during this summer heat)? Check out the tips below to help you department's K-9 Officer and their K-9s manage stress, improve training and preparedness, and keep them cool under pressure and cool while they are by your side fighting crime along with you! 🐶💙😎

Each K-9 LEO & Handler takes on the added responsibility for not only caring for these dogs, but also for keeping them in shape, being mindful of any potential injuries, and ensuring the K-9's safety is always a priority. They establish trust, a rapport, and genuine respect for one another, which allows them to help reinforce resiliency skills in both the K-9 and their LEO handler 🩵

167th New Jersey State Police Recruit Training Class Graduates

Today, New Jersey State Police Superintendent Colonel Patrick J. Callahan and Governor Phil Murphy presented badges to New Jersey’s newest state troopers during a graduation ceremony at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ.

"Today's graduation is a proud milestone for these new troopers and the Division. They have demonstrated the discipline, commitment, and character required to serve with honor, duty, and fidelity, the core values of the New Jersey State Police. They stand ready to meet the challenges of a changing world, foster transparency, and build trust with the communities they serve," said Colonel Patrick J. Callahan, Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police. "Although they have completed their time at the academy, they will continue their training and professional growth throughout their careers as they uphold their solemn commitment to protect and serve the people of New Jersey."
