Tonight members of the Piseco Volunteer Ambulance, Piseco Volunteer Fire Department, and the Piseco Women’s Auxillary gathered to celebrate the dedicated service of former Captain and EMT Chris Laver. Chris is going to continue to serve our ambulance as a driver and a mentor to our new members. We are excited to start a new chapter of our ambulance and are thankful for the foundation Chris has laid for us over the past decade. Thank you to the Irondequoit Inn for hosting and serving us. Thank you to Marie Buanno for making a beautiful (and delicious) cake. We hope everyone has a great and safe weekend!

We made the most of our power outage day and decided to complete some driver training. Yesterday was certainly crazy, but we are appreciative of all the crews who spent the day working hard to get us back on the grid. Be cautious today as there is currently a wind advisory in place!

The course is free for you to take and is a great way to help your community and start a new career for those who want to work in the medical field.
