It’s such a broken system to tell postpartum people

Not to do anything for 6 weeks

and then “clear” them for exercise…

🛑Do you notice these things when doing core work?

🔹You have a hard time finding
“neutral pelvis”
🔹You feel the effort mostly in your hip flexors
🔹You feel bearing down or bugling
🔹You feel like you need to smash your low back into the ground
🔹You see coning or doming in your abdomen
🔹Your neck muscles are feeling it

If so, your deep core muscles could use some re-education…

Here are some things that can help:

🔹gentle movement and stretches like pelvic tilts, side bends and adductor rocks
🔹work toward neutral or “stacked” posture
🔹modify your sitting with a rolled up towel
🔹add a belly band for extra support when standing
🔹add in simple movement breaks throughout your day
