In honor of Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week, we recently celebrated our INCREDIBLE Dining Services team! 😃

To show our appreciation, we treated all of these amazing teammates with a delicious spread of food, fun gifts, and more surprises. We are so grateful for all that these individuals do for our residents and our entire community.

We were thrilled to welcome back the Interact Club of Glassboro High School for another year of our "The Best Day of My Life So Far" program! 🌟

Now in their third school year since joining us, these bright young minds visit our community monthly to share stories and connect with our residents. Overall, Pitman Manor has been proud to be part of the Best Day Family for 11 years!

In our first gathering of the year, we kicked things off by catching up and discussing all the fun things we did this summer. We cannot wait for all the great times that lie ahead this year with this AMAZING group! 😃

To mark both National Pumpkin Seed Day and the start of October, our residents and teammates took part in a festive seed-counting contest. Congratulations to our winners who came closest to the correct number.

As the season changes, our teammate tree also remains on display and continues to bring joy and inspiration throughout our community! ☺️

From the TEDxCape May stage at Cape May Convention Hall on October 5th, Mark Lenhard will propose a transformative shift in understanding what it means to “age successfully.”

Moving beyond the traditional quantitative markers of senior healthcare, Mark will emphasize the importance of qualitative aspects of quality of life. He will explore how both traditional and unexpected partners can collaborate with senior living providers to reframe aging as positive, natural experience. By taking a “hopeful contrarian” approach to questioning and re-examining traditional methods, this presentation will chart a course towards innovative practices that challenge stereotypes and create and environment where aspiration for life can continue at any age.

Our residents recently enjoyed an AMAZING community trip to the Edelman Fossil Park of Rowan University!

It was so incredible to explore all of the state-of-the-art exhibits, which brought prehistoric history and dinosaurs to life. Walking through the museum and learning about these ancient creatures offered a fascinating, hands-on experience for everyone!

It was truly a tremendous visit for our community and one we won't soon forget! 😃

We'd like to say MAHALO to our fabulous Dining Services team for all of their hard work in making our recent community luau such a wonderful celebration! 😄

Our residents were treated to a full island spread, featuring a tasty pig roast and other authentic Hawaiian cuisine. On top of the delicious food, the decorations and other tropical flare on display truly made the whole experience feel like we were on the islands!

We’re so proud to welcome the CNA class from Rowan College of South Jersey as they complete their clinical rotations here at Pitman Manor!

Through our partnership with RCSJ, we have the opportunity to meet and bring on board many talented new CNAs as they start their careers in healthcare.

This class is extra special to us since our own Staffing Coordinator, Krista, is enrolled. Also pictured are our Infection Preventionist, Amy, and the class instructor, Kelly Bealor.

We’re especially excited to highlight this during National Workforce Development Month. It’s truly inspiring to see these future CNAs gaining valuable hands-on experience and building the skills that will shape their future careers.
