Our Story

National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach from Duke's Integrative Medicine Program. As a coach, my job is to connect you with the changes you want to make to intentionally live a healthier life in all aspects of body, mind, spirit, and community. Much of my work also revolves around helping people learn new strategies for dealing with stress and stressful situations. By exploring what it is you want, what is getting in the way, and examining your belief systems, a new beginning opens up.

My passion for coaching began years ago although I did not know it at the time. I experienced some very traumatic events that significantly affected my physical, emotional, and spiritual self. They left me empty, ashamed and believing that if I just kept on going, pushing through, all would be well. That does not work! Years later I realized I had many unresolved issues that were impacting how well I lived my life and how I showed up in the world. Finally, instead of just holding everything in and hoping it would all magically go away, I began educating myself on how to deal with these past traumatic events. My journey took me a counselor, then to a coach. Slowly I began to see and feel the difference. I stood up, took responsibility and accountability for myself, and made BIG changes in what I thought, how I behaved, and what my beliefs were. It wasn’t easy....but so worth it! Now my passion and purpose is to help as many people as I can change their lifestyle and achieve their optimal health.
