Defensive Pistol
The Defensive Pistol class builds on your understanding and use of Pistol Fundamentals. If you've only stood in front of a target while shooting without thinking then this class will take you to the next level. This class will introduce you to real life defensive pistol shooting. You will leave this class with a proven process to respond to a threat from your holster.
This Defensive Pistol class will start by understanding how you process information during a stressful event. Topics covered are NC laws concerning deadly force, survival mindset and process to help you to act earlier instead of reacting to the unknown.
This Class will review in detail all pistol fundamentals in the classroom; Gun Safety, and how they work, defensive ammunition and how it works. We review basic equipment examples from belts to holsters. You will learn how body mechanics and how stress affects you while loading, unloading and dealing with malfunctions. We will discuss different shooting positions. During this classroom portion you’ll participate by doing dry fire drills reinforcing what you learned in each section of the class.
Before moving on to the range we will review range safety and range commands. All drills on the range are descended to build on each other. Drills will include shooting two handed and one handed. You will be challenged to move and use cover while engaging multiple targets at a variety of ranges. At the end of the day stress will be added by conducting drills while on the timer.

Basic Pistol 4 hour class The Basic Pistol class is a comprehensive review of Pistol Fundamentals. Basic Pistol is not just a new shooter class. If you know how to shoot but never had a formal class then this will take you to the next level. You will leave this class with a proven process to respond to a threat from a holster.
This basic class will cover in detail all pistol fundamentals in the classroom; Gun Safety, pistol parts and how your gun works, ammunition and how it works. We review basic equipment ideas such as belts to holsters. Topics covered are body mechanics, stance, draw, grip, target alignment, trigger control, follow through, loading, unloading, and malfunctions. During the classroom portion, you’ll participate by doing not just listening. Wel conduct dry fire drills designed to reinforce the learned objectives. A complete review of range safety and range commands are reviewed before going to the range.
Once on the range we understand ammo is expensive. As we train on the range every round and drill has a task and purpose. We are building and reinforcing the processes and objectives being learned. Each drill builds on the other as your skills continue to improve.
